Yesterday was my niece's birthday and we all had a blast at the birthday party. They had a "theme party" and this time the theme was "clowns" so, of course, I had to also dress up like a clown. For a gift, I had bought her a pair of shoes which she had been longing for. As soon as she opened the box, she put on the shoes and started jumping around with glee. Not only me, everyone had gotten her something she really needed, so she was thrilled. My niece turns 16 this Sunday and has been begging me to buy her a pair of new athletic shoes for her birthday. The reason being that she has just been selected on her school's track team. Tomorrow I will be spending the day at the beach nearby our house, and am so looking forward to it. When I voiced this concern to my hubby, he looked a bit surprised and just brushed my concern away, asking me why I need to worry when I am wearing my womens flip flops, which not only are stylish and comfortable, but also keep the feet secure, so that the flip flops don't slip off the foot even during the most demanding activities.
