Files with the .cache extension

Although I pride myself on being a good blogger, the little known fact remains that I am a total dud at the technical stuff on the computer. Whenever something is not working right, I have to necessarily depend on the technical professionals to help me out, and of course that costs me a lot of money.

However, this time I was able to figure out the problem myself. What happened was that I was trying to open a file with the file extension cache. The .cache file is just a temporary file used to store frequently used data. I got an error with the .cache file due to improper file associations. Actually, I double-clicked this particular file with the file extension cache which resulted in my web browser opening. Instead, I should have opened that CAChe created file within the native software. In this case, changing file associations could have caused other unwanted conflicts as well. Thankfully, I was able to figure out the file extension cache problem in time and did not suffer any loss nor waste any money calling the professionals.
